Donors

A donor is any healthcare organization in Ontario that has functioning surplus used equipment that it wishes to donate to a qualified recipient such as a registered charity or Incorporated Not for Profit organization that will use donated equipment for education or training purposes, or will send donated equipment to low resource countries.

Recipients

A qualified recipient is a registered charity or incorporated Not for profit organization that will use donated equipment for education or training purposes or will send donated equipment to low resource countries. The recipient must show evidence of financial viability, and that they follow WHO guidelines if sending donated equipment to low resource countries.  Schools, colleges, universities, nursing and biomedical engineering programs requesting equipment for training purposes will also be accepted.

Steps to Register

1. Complete the appropriate application form for access to become a recipient or donor
2. Await results of application (applicant will be notified via email of status of their application)
   1. If application is rejected, you will be provided a reason as to why. Please make any modifications and resubmit the application
3. Once application is accepted, you will be provided your username and a temporary password to OSHEN.
4. You can now search the database.
   1. For Donors, you can now post devices
   2. For Recipients, you can speak to Donors
